Baby and toddler playgroups in the Woking and surrounding Surrey areas

Like many other mums, I am a member of quite a few mummy/parent groups on Facebook and one of the most commonly asked questions has been playgroup recommendations for the Woking and surrounding areas.

With this in mind, I decided to do some research and write a blog about it, so local mums have a guide to refer to. This isn’t an exhaustive list, so if you have any to add, please share with other mums in the comments below!

Monday

Angel Tots Parent & Toddler group at St Michael and All Angels, Pirbright. For children up to the age of 3. Free, but donations are welcome.

Brookwood Babies and Toddlers for babies to 5 years of age, Brookwood Large Memorial Hall,  £2 per adult & £1 per child

Fun For Baby (4 mths to pre walking) at Prime Acrobatics at Horsell Wetlands

Goldsworth Park Parent and Toddler group for children ages 0-5 years old at St. Andrew’s Church, Goldsworth Park, £2 per family

Hartbeeps Toddler & infant classes suitable for walkers & their siblings, offering different classes for various age groups

Little Bears Music –  Music classes for babies between the ages of 3-18 months old held at St Paul’s Church in Woking. Sign up for your first trial class for only £4

Willows Forest School holds Parent and Toddler sessions from 10-12. Elm Nursery at Sutton Green & Coworth and Flexlands School

Woking Playgym for crawlers to 5 years at Woking Gymnastics £6-£7 per session

Woking Twins Club, held every second and forth Monday of the month at St Hugh of Lincoln Church in Knaphill. 9:30-11am. First session free, £3.50 per family thereafter

Tuesday

Baby & Toddler group at St Mary’s in Horsell. Free play with a sing song at the end, biscuits and a cuppa / squash Donation of £1.50

Bisley Play Open to parents and children 0-5years. A playgroup where children have the chance to free play with a variety of toys, sensory, soft play, dress up etc in the Bisley Village Hall. Coffee and biscuits provided.

Bethany Babes, St Mary’s of Bethany Church  £1.50 per family. There is currently a waiting list, so please contact them to add your name if you would like to attend

Fun For Baby (4 mths to pre walking) at Prime Acrobatics at Horsell Wetlands

Hartbeeps Toddler & infant classes suitable for walkers & their siblings, offering different classes for various age groups

Knaphill Playgroup The Vyne Centre, Knaphill

Music With Mummy Woking North St Andrew’s Church, Woking, GU213LG, taster for 2 sessions for £10, available during term time, sessions starting 9.30 to 10.00, 10.15 to 10.45, for 1-4 y toddlers accompanied by an adult. On Tuesday from 11.00 to 11.30 Jolly babies for 0-1 y. Highly recommend the musical journey, singing, playing instruments, lots of fun, meeting other mums

Rhymetime various locations & days

St Mary’s Parish in Horsell, Baby & Toddler Group (term time only) 9:30am-11:30am. Pop in for a coffee, chat, play and meet new friends

Parent and Toddler group at St. Paul’s Church, Woking  £3 entry 

Splat Messy Play Weekly themed term time classes with a different range of sensory and messy play activities for your little ones to build, imagine, experience, investigate, explore, and create. Horsell Village Hall

Tots Praise at 10 am on Tuesday in Pyrford (Church of the Good Shepherd) it is FREE and coffee, tea and cakes are provided

Wee Nature Spirits A community type vibe outdoor playgroup for newborns up to around 5 years old, with support offered outside the 90 minute sessions. Lulu believes many spiritual techniques can support our mental health. Free taster sessions available.£30 for adult & child per month – no booking required. PAYG for one adult & child is £8.50. Missed sessions due to sickness/lack of sleep can be carried forward. All siblings half price. Non-walkers FREE with sibling. Adult & Baby (with no siblings) £15 per month. PAYG £5.

Weybourne Gym soft play session up to 5 years £5 per child/ £3 per adult. Cash or BACS only. They recommend you call or email before or on the day to secure your space, because they get busy.

Willows Forest School holds Parent and Toddler sessions from 10-12. Elm Nursery at Sutton Green

Woking Playgym for crawlers to 5 years at Woking Gymnastics £6-£7 per session

Wednesday

Bethany Babes at St Mary’s of Bethany Church, £1.50 per family (there is currently a waiting list, so contact them to put your name down if you would like to attend)

Goldsworth Park Parent and Toddler group for children ages 0-5 years old at St. Andrew’s Church, Goldsworth Park, £2 per family

Heathside Corner Baby and Toddler Group 10-11:30 at Woking United Reformed Church on White Rose Lane. £2 suggested donation per family. They do a short story and song time every other week and a toddler friendly service at the end of each term. Tea and coffee and snacks provided
