Hello!
I’m Cheryl, the Surrey photographer behind Cheryl Catton Photography. I am an award winning, fully insured maternity and newborn Surrey photographer, based in a lovely village called Horsell in Woking, Surrey (UK).
Originally from Sydney, I packed up my life in sunny Australia and moved to the other side of the world to start an adventure of a lifetime. Many years on and my adventure continues here in the UK, with an extremely supportive husband and two very energetic little ones running at my feet!
As a wife and a mother, I understand the desire to record these special, fleeting moments with your family. I absolutely love looking back at photos of my children, remembering the story behind the photos, how I felt and how they were, at that moment in time.
I love light and shadows, muted colours and my style leans towards minimalism and authenticity. The main aim during my sessions is to capture connections and emotions.
I am aware of how important safety is, when it comes to handling your precious newborn baby and have been lucky enough to be trained by the extremely talented Beata Baran, Kristina Mack, Gary Hill and Tracy Willis. I have also attended training with the award winning Nina Mace, who has been my inspiration for my outdoor family sessions.
I look forward to meeting you. Whether it be to capture precious life memories of you and your family, or to make your business shine through a headshots/personal branding session.
Cheryl
