Things to do around Surrey during February Half Term 2020
It seems like only yesterday that we packed up the Christmas tree and New Years sparklers and all the children went back to school. However, here we are with only a couple of weeks to go until February half term!
To help surviveΒ the school holidays, I have created a little guide on some things you can do with your kids during this time.
Airhop – Guildford
Where: AirHop House, 12 Midleton Industrial Estate Road, Guildford GU2 8XW
Jump into a happy February half term with a session at the trampolining park AirHop in Guildford. There are trampolines from wall to wall at this ultimate bouncing facility!
There is a minimum age requirement of 5 years.

The Arthouse
Where: Horsell Park, Horsell, Woking, GU21 4LY
Do you have a budding Picasso on your hands? If so, Geetaβs holiday classes will be perfect! There are many classes with The Arthouse throughout February half term, including canvas painting and clay & sculpture.
Geetaβs classes are for ages 2 + and prices start from Β£12 per class.

Brooklands Museum
Where: Brooklands Road, Weybridge, Surrey. SatNav for visitor car park: KT13 0SL
In addition to their car rides (subject to weather), pedal planes, Concorde Mini Tours and bus rides around the local area operated by the London Bus Museum, Brooklands is also holding a Ready to Race event between the 17th -21st February 2020 between 10am-4pm. Participants will get the opportunity to step inside a workshop and explore the science behind speed. They will also join the pitt and have a go at getting a car ready for a race.

Bocketts Farm
Where: Young Street, Fetcham, Leatherhead, Surrey KT22 9BS
Between the 15th-23rd February, it is lambing season at Bocketts! They have 60 newborn lambs due during this time, along with pony rides, adorable rabbits to cuddle and feed and lots of animals for the kids to see. Click here to book.

The British Wildlife Centre
Where: Eastbourne Road, Newchapel, LINGFIELD, RH7 6LF
The British Wildlife Centre opens its doors for February half term and is a place where you can walk through the red squirrel enclosure, meet the wildlife during the half-hourly keeper talks and make the most of their βTwo visits for the price of oneβ offer they are running at the moment. They are giving all paying visitors free admission vouchers for a return entry. The vouchers are valid until the end of March 2020. Click here to book.

Godstone Farm
Where: Tilburstow Hill Road, Godstone, RH9 8LX
Godstone Farm has more than 500 animals, with tractor rides and a large amount of indoor and outdoor play equipment, including tailored activities in their play barn. Over the February half term they are hosting the Godstone Farm Olympics! It will be an action packed day on the farm as you complete their farm themed challenges. Will your toy tractor win the race? Will your welly throw be far enough? Get all 5 rings and join us on the winners podium! With animal encounters and play areas to keep all mini Olympians busy, everyoneβs a winner!

National Trust – Claremont Landscape Garden
Where: Portsmouth Road, Esher, Surrey, KT10 9JG
Claremont have a βColour Questβ trail over the February half-term, between 10:30-4:00pm. It is also a great opportunity to take your dog for a walk, because dogs are welcome to join!
Normal National Trust entry fees apply and to participate in the trail is Β£1
National Trust – Hatchlands Park
Where: East Clandon, Guildford GU4 7RT
Hatchlands have a βDuck spottingtβ trail over the February half-term, between 10:00-4:00pm. It is also a great opportunity to take your dog for a walk, because dogs are welcome to join!
Normal National Trust entry fees apply and the trail is free.
National Trust – Polesden Lacey
Where: Great Bookham, near Dorking, Surrey, RH5 6BD
Polesden Lacey are putting on βThe Secret Power of Treesβ trail for little ones between the ages of 4-12 years. The event is between 10:00am – 3:00pm and involves a walk through the woods, with a prize at the end!

National Trust – Winkworth Arboretum
Where: Hascombe Road, Godalming, Surrey, GU8 4AD
Winkworth are holding a Spectacular Sticks trail. From den building, to sword fighting, the opportunities for fun are endless when sticks are involved!

Splatterkins Ceramics
Where: St Mary’s Church, Horsell, Woking GU21 4QQ
18th February: Story and paint session (10:00 – 11:00) at St. Mary’s Church in Horsell. The session includes a story, ornament to paint and squash and biscuits at the end.
20th February: Play and Clay session (10:00-11:30) Using their imagination, your children will be able to create shapes from their clay from sea creatures, fairy doors to the odd pinch pot! There is no limit to what you can create and learn at this family-focused session.

Story and Paint session – Β£7.50 first child, Β£6.00 per child thereafter
Clay and Paint session – Β£10.00 per child, accompanying adults go free

Wildwood Adventure
Where: Peacock Wood, Lido Road, Stoke Park, Guildford, Surrey GU1 1HB
Wildwood Adventure is a ZipZone park suitable for ages 6-12 years up to adults. There are bridges, logs, zips from tree to tree, cargo nets, wobbly things, climbing wall traverse and more! It has been closed over the Winter months, but reopens on the 15th February, just in time for the February half term!
Entry price:
Β£17.50 per person for a 1 hour adventure. There is a minimum height requirement of 1 metre and children aged 6-7 years must be accompanied by a paying adult (max ratio, 1 adult to 2 children). So mums and dads, I hope you are not afraid of heights if you have younger children!!
