Yes, it’s coming up to that time of year where the kids (and some grown ups) get dressed up and go Trick or Treating. I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by, but I think since having kids, I have been saying this every year!
Hand in hand with Halloween, comes pumpkin picking!! It has become an annual tradition in our house along with many other houses in the Surrey area, I am sure!
I thought I would help a parent out and put together a ‘What’s On’ in Surrey Halloween Guide. So if you’re looking for something to do with your little ones over the Halloween half term, check it out!
Crockford Bridge Farm
Where: New Haw Road, Addlestone, Weybridge KT15 2BU
What: Half Term Fun
When: 19th October for half term
Cost: £2 for Half Term Fun / £5 for Pumpkin Festival
Good to know: During Crockford’s Half Term Fun week, there will be apple bobbing and pumpkin carving.
What: Pumpkin Festival
When: The pumpkin fields are open for pumpkin picking 12/13 October. The main Pumpkin Festival opens 25th October.
Cost: £5
Good to know: All of the Half Term Fun events will continue for the Pumpkin Festival and there will also be face painting and the Giant Hay Maze.
For those who are looking for something a bit extra, Crockford are holding an immersive theatre experience of James and the Giant Pumpkin in their Wonder Wood!

What: Wonder Woods – James and the Giant Pumpkin
When: 25th – 31st October
Cost: £13-£15 per person + £1 booking fee
Good to know: This immersive theatre experience is geared towards kids ages 4-11 years of age. It is a show that involves you walking through their Wonder Woods, so there are no seats. Tickets must be purchased in advance and the performance will go on in the cold and rain, so be prepared! Tickets to the show can be purchased by clicking here
Horsell Halloween Treasure Hunt
Where: Horsell High Street
When: 28th October – 1st November, between 9:00am – 4:00pm
Cost: Free
Good to know: This treasure hunt is perfect for those who like the idea of trick or treating, but aren’t fans of the sugar overloads that can come with it. 10 Halloween bats will be hidden around the shops of Horsell High Street. Find all 10, record where you found them and pop over to the Home Nursery at Salvation Army Sythwood and claim your prize!
Secretts of Milford
Where: Hurst Farm Chapel Lane, Milford GU8 5HU
When: 26th – 31st October – £2 entry fee
Cost: Entry fee is £2
Good to know: Pumpkin Week is cash only at Secretts, so make sure you have some money in your purse. The entry fee covers the tractor ride to the pumpkin fields. The tractor queue can get quite long, so I would recommend you either get there super early, or leave it until later in the day when things quieten down. Otherwise, take lots of snacks with you to give to the kids while you wait! There will be activities for the children and T’Jays Pay & Play will be there again this year, offering a range of things like a bouncy castle, face painting and mini golf. You also have the opportunity to buy some food and drinks while you’re there – some of it pumpkin themed, of course!

Priory Farm
Where: Sandy Lane, South Nutfield, Redhill RH1 4EJ
What: Haunted Halloween
When: Starting 19th October
Cost: Free entry, £2.50 for the tractor ride
Good to know: Take your little ones on a tractor ride to the pumpkin fields. The ride departs from the entrance to The Discovery Walk and is being held on Saturday, 19th & 20th October 10:00 – 16:00 (closed between 13:00-13:30). There’s no need to prebook, you can just turn up and buy your tickets on the day.
Make sure you check the Priory Farm website before going, to make sure it hasn’t been cancelled due to adverse weather!

What: Spoooooooky Trail
When: 18th October – 4th November, 9:30am-4:30pm (last entry 3:45pm)
Cost: £3-£4 depending on if you would like the quiz sheet. Fish food £1 per bag
Good to know: Let your kids take a spooooooky Halloween adventure through the deep dark woods on The Discovery Walk through Priory Farm. It’s on this walk that they will be able to seek out spooks and spiders and have some fun, frights and fresh air!

Good to know: Suitable for ages 5-7 years. Places must be booked in advance.
What: Spooky Spider making workshop
When: 30th October, drop in between 1:30pm – 4:00pm
Cost: Free, suggested donation £3
Good to know: Let your kids make spooky spiders from recycled materials.

Good to know: No need to book this in advance. The pumpkin carving will run between 11:00am – 3:00pm. The £5 pumpkin carving fee includes the pumpkin.

Good to know: There will be lots of fun Halloween activities at Legoland over the half term, including the Creepy Cobweb Castle, Monster Rocker’s Dance Party, the Brick or Treat trail, a costume competition and a NEW Haunted House Monster Party Ride! There will also be fireworks on 19,20.25 October and the 1,2 November.
